Don't you just hate it when you want something you just can't afford? I do. Andy and I are planning on buying a new (to us - aka used) car within the next few weeks. Both of us want vehicles that never seem to be in our price range. He wants to spoil me and let me get what I want even though we both know that it isn't fair since I picked out the van when he really really wanted a truck.

Top it off with the major desire to own a digital camera that doesn't freaking lag when I'm trying to take pictures of the kids at church playing basketball and cheerleading. Okay I want it to indulge in my latest love for photography but still the other reason is valid too.

So I'm thinking since that law passed that is going to put some extra cash in the us hard working US folks pockets I'm going to tell him to pick out his truck with the taxes, I'll keep the van and fix it up a bit cause it's in need of some lovin'.

But I want to spend at least some of that recession relief check on a new camera. So all you photographer types please give me your two cents worth. If you had say $600 to blow on a camera that has as little shutter delay as possible with as high a picture quality as is possible for the actual photographer behind it what would you buy?
